In order to celebrate and provide support, Wilson Waffling Radio did an A’ Level Results day show in association with York St John University. As ever the whole show was recorded so you can relive the moment by listening to the songs and chat, as well as hearing the dedications.
After a bit of a shaky start – we all have them…well I do – this week’s show features songs from The Carpenters, JLS and The Script. We also have the usual riddle and anagram quizzes and cultured chat includes a pure white squirrel, the most shop lifted book in the world and discovery of the largest ever dinosaur footprints!
In this week’s show we feature songs from The Little Shop of Horrors, Aida the Musical and Dreamcoats and Petticoats. I get to indulge myself in the song request segment of the show with a song from Wicked and we have a song from the Arthur Freed and Nacio Herb Brown musical. As always, we have the lyricsand Clues to the Musicals quizzes.
Check out our second issue of Down the Rabbit Hole’ that has an exclusive interview with Lisbon, album reviews of the Tom McKenzie and Nonkeen albums and many other articles. Mad Alice Records produces a […]
No way! I lost internet connection with the radio server half way through the show so, if you were listening live, you would have had a bit of KC and the Sunshine band before I returned – but, like Foo Man shoo – I didn’t return! In this show we had a test to see how old your skin was, an new invention to keep avocados from going brown and a musical pillow. We had guess the theme tune and music from Blondie, Madness, Alphabeat and that classic Human League track – “Don’t you want me”. What more could you ask for from another classic waffling show!
I’ve never been brave enough to throw myself out of a plane being eventually suspended under a piece of light material, or even run around the streets, through the countryside or through mud with distances that I can hardly walk let alone run. Despite this I am keen to complete a marathon of some description in order to raise some money for charity. Well after much thought I have decided that on Wednesday 10th August, I am going to attempt a 12 hour live radio street on Wilson Waffling Radio. Want to know more? then please read on…
Another show packed with cultured chat and chilled out music. We feature songs from Adele, Steps and James Blunt and stories about sharks, the creation of a super hard metal and how the earth got its axial tilt. The anagram quiz is an item of food and the riddle includes something really light but which noone can actually carry – puzzled? then tune in and find out the answer in this week’s Snuggle Show on Wilson Waffling Radio.
In this week’s show we feature songs from Grease, My Fair Lady and Les Miserables. After being distracted by Show Boat on the television, we play that wonderful song simple titles ‘Bill’ and the song request this week comes from Phantom of the Opera. As always, we have the lyrics competition which the listeners on Facebook did much better with than the people on Twitter and the Clues to the Musical yet again, proved to be difficult – but not impossible.
Not even moving to a new server could stop the show going ahead this week! Music this week includes Blue, Black Box and Blondie – honestly the whole show does not just feature artists beginning with ‘B’. We waffle about the recent super hero trailers and have a look at what’s in the cinemas at the moment and including the future releases including the new Swallows and Amazons film! We have the usual gaming waffle and we discuss why you should throw those bathroom scales away, the apps which are draining your phone battery and the demise of VHS tapes! All this and guess the TV theme tune which no-one got – do you know the answer? Add it in the comments…
I was initially concerned that this show had too much Disney in but looking back I think I managed to get away with it. As well as some Disney classics we also featured songs from Chicago, The Sound of Music and Phantom. We tried to guess the song and musical in the lyrics game and baffled everyone with the clues to the musical quiz. Ex Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Philips gets a mention and the song request is from the musical – “We will rock you”. Come and have a sing a long – with the musical show, on Wilson Waffling Radio.
