It seems a while since I have written a blog post about my continuing journey in setting up a radio station plus I was looking at the Radio Station’s Webpage this morning, and noticed that it was a while since the blog post had changed on the front page. Hopefully, if the plugin is doing its job correctly, then you should be able to see the previous blog posts in this series at the bottom of this page. We have talked about the concept, software, music and butts – with the latter referring to the encoder and even included some information about planning and scheduling shows. In part three I’m going to talk about marketing, promotion and interaction – and give some exciting news as well!
With the new software installed the songs are chosen by random now, and we engage in some cultured chat. This week – Tim Peake returns to Earth, deep sea exploration, glass bridges and the invasion of the huge spider crabs! With music by George Michael, Celine Dion and Tina Turner.
This is probably a week which I want to forget since there was dreadful technical difficulties at the start of the show. You can probably hear how fraught I was but like a true professional I managed to fix the problem and continue – as you all know – the show must go on!
Back to the usual show this week, plenty of chilled out music from The Beetles, Blondie, Snow Patrol and Lionel Richie! Also we have the cultured chat, the riddle and the taxing anagram – all on Wilson Waffling Radio.
This week the Musical Show features songs from the original 1967 Jungle book film and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory with Gene Wilder – sorry none of the modern stuff here! If you missed a tiny bit of the show due to technical issues, then fear not! all of it was recorded so enjoy – and there is even a new quiz!
This week’s show was a special Bank Holiday show. This is when I look back on some of the music which I have played in previous Snuggle shows. There is of course the riddle and the anagram as well as some interesting facts about steps and slugs. Oh – and I do a pirate voice which ends up sounding like a farmer! – all on Wilson Waffling Radio.
Don’t worry if you missed last Friday’s live show – listen to it here – featuring songs from the the lonesome cabin in Oregon with 7 Brides for 7 Brothers and that flying car with a musical sweet which is Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
