Well, I had no chance! This week the Waffling Show went out at the same time as the first episode of the new Great British Bake Off series #GBBO! After an ingenious marketing campaign I managed to get some people to listen – don’t worry, no money exchanged hands! In this week’s show we waffled about the Great British Bake Off, Pokemon Burgers how a young seal managed to escape certain death from a group of Killer Whales! Music included songs from Bonnie Tyler, Alphabeat, Duran Duran and Europe and we had another theme tune in the ‘Guess the Theme tune’ quiz. If you were watching GBBO then now you can catch up with the Waffling Show.
This week’s cultured chat includes the highest mountain in Scotland, the oldest living vertebrate and a discussion about poo! – You’ve been warned! Music includes songs from John Waite, Robbie Williams and Little Mix and your brain’s get challenged with the anagram and riddle quizzes.
This week’s cultured chat includes the group of mammoths who escaped extinction, how men are becoming better at making up and we say good bye to the Jade Rabbit for the final time. Music includes songs from Gabrielle, Eric Clapton and Shirley Bassey. The riddle quiz was apparently too simple, although the anagram caused some people difficulties.
For the first time for ever we start today with a song from Frozen! Other musicals featuring in this week’s Musical Show include Oliver!, Wicked and Starlight Express. We listened to songs from a couple of new musicals which haven’t ben featured on the show, ‘With one Look’ from Sunset Boulevard and a song request from The Woman in White, I believe my heart. All this and the usual regular features of musical news, the lyrics quiz and guess the musicals.

No way! I lost internet connection with the radio server half way through the show so, if you were listening live, you would have had a bit of KC and the Sunshine band before I returned – but, like Foo Man shoo – I didn’t return! In this show we had a test to see how old your skin was, an new invention to keep avocados from going brown and a musical pillow. We had guess the theme tune and music from Blondie, Madness, Alphabeat and that classic Human League track – “Don’t you want me”. What more could you ask for from another classic waffling show!
