Another show packed with cultured chat and chilled out music. We feature songs from Adele, Steps and James Blunt and stories about sharks, the creation of a super hard metal and how the earth got its axial tilt. The anagram quiz is an item of food and the riddle includes something really light but which noone can actually carry – puzzled? then tune in and find out the answer in this week’s Snuggle Show on Wilson Waffling Radio.
In this week’s show we feature songs from Grease, My Fair Lady and Les Miserables. After being distracted by Show Boat on the television, we play that wonderful song simple titles ‘Bill’ and the song request this week comes from Phantom of the Opera. As always, we have the lyrics competition which the listeners on Facebook did much better with than the people on Twitter and the Clues to the Musical yet again, proved to be difficult – but not impossible.
Not even moving to a new server could stop the show going ahead this week! Music this week includes Blue, Black Box and Blondie – honestly the whole show does not just feature artists beginning with ‘B’. We waffle about the recent super hero trailers and have a look at what’s in the cinemas at the moment and including the future releases including the new Swallows and Amazons film! We have the usual gaming waffle and we discuss why you should throw those bathroom scales away, the apps which are draining your phone battery and the demise of VHS tapes! All this and guess the TV theme tune which no-one got – do you know the answer? Add it in the comments…
I was initially concerned that this show had too much Disney in but looking back I think I managed to get away with it. As well as some Disney classics we also featured songs from Chicago, The Sound of Music and Phantom. We tried to guess the song and musical in the lyrics game and baffled everyone with the clues to the musical quiz. Ex Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Philips gets a mention and the song request is from the musical – “We will rock you”. Come and have a sing a long – with the musical show, on Wilson Waffling Radio.
This week’s show features songs from Bruno Mars, Take That and Leona Lewis. We also have the regular anagram game – but we have moved onto Food and Drink – and the riddle was guessed by quite a few people so I think it was probably too easy! The cultured chat included hobbies for men (which included maple tree tapping!), a heterochromic marsupial and an update from the Juno probe in a wide orbit round Jupiter. Along with the interesting facts…welcome to the Snuggle Show!
Back on target with this show – although I think you had two weeks of it playing as a recording on the station…ooops! Despite the hot weather we have been experiencing recently in the UK, we start the show with Cloudbusting by Kate Bush and have the NHS Choir singing Bridge over Troubled Waters. We have an update on the Juno probe as it orbits Jupiter and discuss if you match the personality linked to the day you were born by the 1838 rhyme. Don’t worry, we also manage to squeeze in the riddle and the anagram game – so much in one show! How do we do it!
In this show we enjoy the music from Blood Brothers, Cats and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. The song requests are from musicals which I have never heard of, let alone seen, but both were great choices and we discuss whether we can play operas and operettas on the musical show. Coupled with the regular features of the lyrics game and clues to the musicals, it a show that you will certainly be singing along to!
Well, I’m sure there is a saying that if something happens three times in a row then it has become a thing – or am I making that up? This week we waffle about the hot weather, what is happening in the gaming world and top films. Also – what are your favourite books and are you able to guess the TV theme tune from just the introduction? All this and some classic pop music including Wham, Bucks Fizz and Kelly Clarkson.
Sorry for the delay in uploading this show but there is still plenty of time to enjoy the chilled out music from The Osmonds, ABBA, Will Young and Travis. The interesting facts include the unique event which happened on the 18th February 1979 and why should not use the word ‘pants’ if you were ever back in time in the 1880s! There is also the regular riddle and the anagram game, so why not grab a pen and pencil and listen in.
Yes it managed to make it to a second show! In this show we had music from One Direction, the hip gyrating Ricky Martin and the Five Young Cannibals. In the waffling segments we looked at the top five games currently being played, the new Overwatch Hero – Ana and how far would you go for beautiful skin? All this and the Top five quiz and Guess the Theme Tune! What more could you want from a radio show? – and don’t shout prizes!
