In this show we enjoy the music from Blood Brothers, Cats and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. The song requests are from musicals which I have never heard of, let alone seen, but both were great choices and we discuss whether we can play operas and operettas on the musical show. Coupled with the regular features of the lyrics game and clues to the musicals, it a show that you will certainly be singing along to!
Well, I’m sure there is a saying that if something happens three times in a row then it has become a thing – or am I making that up? This week we waffle about the hot weather, what is happening in the gaming world and top films. Also – what are your favourite books and are you able to guess the TV theme tune from just the introduction? All this and some classic pop music including Wham, Bucks Fizz and Kelly Clarkson.
Sorry for the delay in uploading this show but there is still plenty of time to enjoy the chilled out music from The Osmonds, ABBA, Will Young and Travis. The interesting facts include the unique event which happened on the 18th February 1979 and why should not use the word ‘pants’ if you were ever back in time in the 1880s! There is also the regular riddle and the anagram game, so why not grab a pen and pencil and listen in.
Yes it managed to make it to a second show! In this show we had music from One Direction, the hip gyrating Ricky Martin and the Five Young Cannibals. In the waffling segments we looked at the top five games currently being played, the new Overwatch Hero – Ana and how far would you go for beautiful skin? All this and the Top five quiz and Guess the Theme Tune! What more could you want from a radio show? – and don’t shout prizes!
Well it has returned!!! What was once called the Wilson Waffling Radio show has been reincarnated as the Waffling Show! Why? Well saying the Wilson Waffling Radio Show on Wilson Waffling Radio was a bit of a mouthful and slightly repetitious! So on this show we have Guess my Top five, the Gaming Waffle and, to replace the Disney half hour, Guess the Theme Tune! It was also National Kissing day – would you kiss in public? answer in the comments!!! All this and the usual cheesy pop music including Madonna, Busted and the white striped Adam Ant! If you missed it, you weren’t there and you were a quadrilateral!
This week’s Musical Show features songs from Wicked, The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Moulin Rouge. There are also the regular segments of the show, the lyrics quiz and the Clues to the musical – this week it is really difficult and not for the faint hearted! We also discussed how many musicals were based purely on a band/groups music – for example Mamama Mia being purely ABBA music – can you think of any more? Add them in the comments below or tweet them to the studio @wafflingradio or post them on the Facebook Page.
Tonight’s show features songs from The Carpenters, Toni Braxton and Dolly Parton – if I get the title of the song correctly! There is also an interesting fact about Donkey Kong and what an apple, potato and onion have in common! Coupled with the anagram and riddle quizzes you have another chilled out and cultured show.
With the new software installed the songs are chosen by random now, and we engage in some cultured chat. This week – Tim Peake returns to Earth, deep sea exploration, glass bridges and the invasion of the huge spider crabs! With music by George Michael, Celine Dion and Tina Turner.
